Public Speaking Engagements

  • Addressed the American Correctional Association
    Presented to a national audience of corrections and reentry leaders on reentry best practices, including helping corrections reduce people returning to homelessness, connecting families and promoting family engagement, and improving cross-system reentry coordination.

  • Trained Los Angeles County workforce development partners 
    Conducted trauma-informed care and skill building training with the Los Angeles County Justice Care and Opportunities Department SECTOR Program employment partners.
  • Presented to jail administrators in Minnesota
    Provides best practices for strengthening and maintaining family connections from arrest to release.

  • Spoke at the North Carolina Reentry Conference
    Shared strategies on building coordinated statewide reentry systems and addressing employment-related collateral consequences in North Carolina.

  • Led cross-sector stakeholder meetings under Reentry 2030
    Facilitated meetings with state agency leaders bringing together corrections leaders, workforce systems, housing agencies, and philanthropic partners.

  • Organized and facilitated advocacy sessions during the Rikers Island transfer crisis
    Coordinated and participated in coalition presentations to the Governor’s Office, policymakers,  and service providers related to protecting incarcerated women and transgender individuals during transfer planning.
